Son Servants Partners With Signal Mountain Social Services for Summer Service Project
Son Servants is a short term missions ministry for middle and high school youth groups along with their adult leaders. Son Servants has worked in 9 International locations and more than 30 locations within the United States, always partnering with local organizations to serve those in need.
When Danny Dotson, Director of Son Servants, and Jacky Pressler, a member of Brethren of the Hammer, reached out to SMSS in February seeking a service opportunity, none of us could have imagined the extraordinary journey that lay ahead.
Son Servants, which offers short-term mission experiences for middle and high school youth groups and their adult leaders, creates opportunities for young people to serve both domestically and internationally. Their dedication to making a difference became clear as the project took shape at the end of summer.
Over 3.5 days, the youth and their leaders worked tirelessly, putting in countless hours to bring this project to life. Their commitment didn’t stop there—our local team continued for an additional 2.5 days to complete the work. In total, more than 256 hours were poured into this project, with volunteers traveling from four different states—North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Tennessee—to lend a hand.
It was an absolute pleasure working alongside Son Servants. Their organization, dedication, and the time they invested were truly inspiring. This project not only transformed a space but also forged lasting friendships and unforgettable memories for everyone involved.
Our client, a single mother of three and a widow, was deeply honored to be chosen for this service project. This opportunity meant more to her than words can express, offering not just support, but also hope and a reminder that she is not alone on her journey.
